I know you want what's best for them, I know you don't want them to suffer, I know you see the vision and potential for them and you love them too much to let them be out here living like this. I know you are an amazing person with a good soul and a big heart.

But guess what?, you can't save them.

Everyone has their own journey in life that they have to go through to learn their own lesson or experience their own energy they have put into the world, (yes karma).  In order to grow from that situation and overcome the obstacles that have been put forth they have to experience it, not you. Lord knows I wish we can save everyone, but we can't because what will happen is hurt people will hurt people and they will bleed on you too and honestly not care or be bothered because, if they don't care about themselves they damn sure is not going to care about anyone else, it's unfortunately the harsh truth about life. I think a sign to know when this situation doesn't need your assistance and when you need to let go let God and love them from a distance is when your life is negatively adjusted from trying to assist them. You're drained, you're tired, your finances are depleting, your health is declining because their problem is now yours and you feel like this is your journey. Lastly, a sign is you don't feel like yourself because you're too involved and lost sight of who you are spiritually and emotionally.

One of my favorite quotes that I live by and that I use to provide me peace is “You can't want more for someone than they want for themselves”. If they aren't trying or attempting to better themselves and lift themselves up and they just want to live off of your energy, your blessings and your lifestyle that God has provisioned for you, and they don't even have a vision for themselves? Again, Let go and let God them because they are not ready for what is needed to be done and their journey is theirs not yours.
